Why Imobisoft were engaged?
Sky is a global business with excess of 30,000 employees – whilst UX is becoming ever intuitive, introducing news systems and processes at this scale is still challenging. The firm was switching over all of its operating systems to the Windows 9 OS released by Microsoft. As such, they needed to collect a range of user data from their employees to find out current user information which would then be utilised in facilitating a successful migration of all Sky services over to the new operating system.
BSkyB needed to find a quick and efficient way to collect the relevant user data from their employees. The method chosen would have to ensure minimal paperwork, while also achieving a degree of automation that could make it easier to implement.
The Solution
Imobisoft created a fully integrated survey solution that would allow Sky to individually assess each staff member and obtain the required information from them.
This information was then sent to an online database that would be accessible by Sky to complete the migration to Windows 7.
The data was fully encrypted to ensure maximum security levels and was available to be extracted by Sky when and if needed. All data maintained was subject to the Data Protection Act 1998 and Imobisoft ensured full compliance with all data protection and security procedures when handling the attained data.
